Job Title: Vice President of Business Development - CDMO

Summary:

The ideal candidate will lead the business development activities of the entire organization and directly drive the sales business on the West Coast. They play a key role in the company and in the generation of new business. This position works independently to conduct business development activities, proposal generation and negotiation with the customer. The position will manage a team which focuses on lead generation for Big Pharma customers. Assures efficient/ effective oversight, communication and execution of all current proposals.

The territory is North America with more direct involvement on the West Coast, although the position is remote. The successful candidate will need to have quick access to an airport with connecting routes to San Francisco, CA.

 

Responsibilities

  • Generating new business opportunities focusing on Big Pharma companies while managing and retaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Manage and grow the existing Business Development team.
  • Meet annual sales target for new closed contracts.
  • Manage details and information flows between the clients, Project Managers and the company's technical staff in a timely and concise fashion.
  • Identifying and mapping customer needs. Gather and manage project information collected from external and internal sources.

Qualifications

  • STEM degree and/or MBA.
  • At least 10 years CRO/CMO/CDMO sales experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
