Summary:
New Era Executive Search is currently representing an East Coast based Life Sciences/Biotechnology organization.
They are currently looking to hire a Manager of Upstream Process Development (PD) to lead a team of Scientists and act as the technical expert for clients and the internal Upstream PD team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage of a team of Scientists at multiple levels.
- Lead technical discussions with clients with high level of technical proficiency.
- Oversees preparation of protocols, reports, test methods and SOP’s.
- Plans significant technical/scientific project activities to execute strategies and technical solutions that meet client needs and expectations.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or master’s in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering or related field with 10 years industry experience or PhD with 4 years industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of Upstream Process Development
- Experience with mammalian cell culture and small-scale bioreactors.
- 2+ years’ of supervisory/leadership experience (preferred)
